Darshan of Deities to be Restricted Today from 1.30 PM at Jagannath Temple for Ratna Bhandar Reopening

Puri: Darshan of deities by the devotees will stop at Puri Jagannath Temple from 1 pm on Friday due to reopening of Ratna Bhandar.

As per reports, Ratna Bhandar will be reopened on Friday for the shifting of almirahs and chests from it to to a room near the Niladri Museum.

As per the decision of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and the inventory committee formed by the state government the general darshan of Lord Jagannath will remain closed from 1 pm till the shifting is completed. But the devotees will be allowed to purchase Mahaprasad from Ananda Bazaar.

The regular darshan of deities will resume after the shifting work gets completed. There are three wooden almirahs, one steel almirah, two wooden chests, and one iron chest in the inner and outer Ratna Bhandar. All the valuables of Ratna Bhandar are now kept in the Khata Sejaghar and Changada Ghara near the Ratna Bhandar.
