Bhubaneswar: The depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a deep depression. On Thursday morning it was centred over west-central Bay of Bengal, about 380 km east-southeast of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, 380 km south of Paradip on Odisha coast, 530 km south-southwest of Digha in West Bengal and 670 km southwest of Khepupara in Bangladesh.
As per the IMD, this deep depression was moving northeastwards with a speed of 18 kmph during past six hours.
It is likely to continue to in the same north-northeastward direction and intensify further.
It is expected to cross the Bangladesh coast between Mongla and Khepupara with a wind speed 55-65 kmph gusting to 75 kmph around November 18 morning.
