Driver Charred to Death as Trucks Catch Fire After Collision in Nuapada Dist

Nuapada: The driver of a truck driver was burnt alive the vehicle was burnt down following a collision with another truck on the Biju Expressway under Sinapali police station limits in Odisha’s Nuapada district in the wee hours of Friday.

The deceased driver was identified as Muslim Khan.

According to reports, at around 2 am, two trucks from Jharsuguda collided on the Biju Expressway.

The driver of the first truck applied a sudden brake on the Expressway and the truck following it crashed to the backside of the first truck. The truck immediately caught fire after the collision.

Two locals tried to rescue the injured driver from the burning truck but failed in their effort.

Fire Services personnel also reached the accident site. They also could not rescue the stranded driver from the burning truck’s cabin.

According to police sources, the driver of the other truck, Ekbal Khan, is safe.
