Higher Secondary School HM Suspended Over Sexual Harassment Allegation by Girl Students in Sundergarh

Sundargarh: Pramod Nayak, the headmaster of Balishankara Higher Secondary School in was suspended on Friday following allegations of harassment by girl students.

Girl students of the Higher Secondary School took up road blockade agitation demanding action against the Head Master for his immoral behavior towards the students. They alleged that headmaster used to make objectionable gestures and remarks at the girl students of the institution.

Sundergarh District Welfare Officer Pabitra Mohan Pradhan reached the protesting girl students and held discussions with them as well as officials of the institution. After that, he ordered Nayak’s suspension. An inquiry has been initiated in this case.

According to the agitating girls, they had informed other teachers and officials of the institution regarding the indecent behavior of the headmaster in the past, but no action was taken. Due to which they resorted to the road blockade on Friday.
