India Reports 5 COVID Deaths, 335 New Cases

New Delhi: According to the Union Health Ministry, 335 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the country on Sunday. With it, the total number of active positive cases in the country rose to 1,701.

According to the official report, five COVID deaths were reported. Out of them four were in Kerala, and one in Uttar Pradesh.

Till now the total COVID cases in the country is over 4.50 crore. The number of people who recovered from the infection increased to 4.46 crore. The recovery rate was 98.81 per cent. So far, 5,33,316 people have died due to Covid-19.

In Kerala, the Covid sub-variant JN.1 was detected in a 79-year-old woman in an RT-PCR positive sample from Karakulam in Thiruvananthapuram district. The sample had tested RT-PCR positive on November 18.
