India’s 1st Underwater Tourism Project Will Explore Submerged Dwaraka Off Gujarat Coast

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government has signed a memorandum with Mazgaon Dock shipbuilders to take up a submarine service for tourists to explore the marine life in Dwarka, the ancient city of Sri Krishna believed to be submerged under the sea.

It will be the first underwater tourism project in India. This project involving a submarine is aimed to be made operational before Diwali 2024.

According to reports, the proposed submarine will take 24 tourists 100 meters under the sea surface. The special tourism submarine will provide a window view for all passengers.

This project is aimed at enhancing the tourism prospects of Dwarka.
