Interstate Gang of Fake Cops Nabbed in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Seven members of a gang of fake policemen were arrested in Bhubaneswar by the Commissionerate police. The arrested persons are from Madhya Pradesh and were involved in crimes in several states various states including Odisha.

According to reports, members of this gang were involved in incidents of looting in Bhubaneswar posing as cops. At least 11 cases are registered cases against them.

The Commissionerate police is expected to take the seven members of the gang on remand for further investigation.

It is alleged that members of this gang posed as officers of the CBI or Customs Department to extort money from the gullible. They used fake identity cards to commit the crimes.
