Israel Asks 1.1 Million Gazans to Leave, UN Warns of ‘Devastating’ Effect

Israeli forces have put the Gaza Strip under siege and continue their attack. Israel has decided not to lift the siege till Hamas terrorists release the 150 hostages.

Meanwhile, Israel’s defence forces on Friday ordered the evacuation of northern Gaza which has a population of around 1.1 million people within 24 hours.

Reacting to it, the UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric called the order “impossible” without “devastating humanitarian consequences.”

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to destroy Hamas following its deadly assault on Israeli communities on Saturday, October 7. Israel has stopped electricity, water and fuel supply to Gaza, which is teetering on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe as the death toll surpassed 1,500 and vital supplies ran low.

To garner support for its offensive in the Gaza Strip, Israel showed graphic images of dead children and civilians killed by Hamas to US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Nato defence ministers.
