Jatra Artist Run Over by Train While Shooting Reels in Balasore Dist

Balasore: The craze for shooting reels claimed the life of a youth as he was run over by a train in the Balasore district of Odisha.

The deceased identified as Akshay Patra from Banitia village in Bhadrak district was hit by a speeding train near Sabira railway station in Balasore on Monday evening.

As per reports, Akshay was an artist of a Jatra party. He met with the accident while shooting reels for his social media accounts along with some friends. Neelachal Express hit him from behind.

Akshay died on the spot. Following his death, his friends escaped from the spot.

The RPF personnel recovered the body and have launched an investigation.

According to locals, the deceased was wearing earphones while shooting for the reels, so he could not hear the sound of the train coming from behind.
