Karnataka Teacher Booked Under POCSO for Torturing Students with Heavy Homework

Bengaluru: A school teacher was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act in Karnataka for allegedly burdening students with homework and torturing them in class.

A case was lodged against this Mathematics teacher named H.S. Ravi at the Chikkanayakanahalli police station. He is serving in the Godekere Government School.

It was alleged that he used to give heavy homework to the students. If students failed to complete their homework, then they were tortured by him in the class.

When his action became unbearable, students complained about the teacher to their parents and refused to go to school.

The parents of these students complained before the police and the Chikkanayakanahalli police lodged a case against the accused under the provision of the POCSO Act. An investigation is underway.
