Daughter’s Rapist & Impregnator Father gets 3 Life Terms

Thiruvananthapuram: A man convicted of raping and impregnating his minor daughter was sentenced to three life imprisonments by a Kerala court on Monday.

Manjeri Fast Track Special Court convicted the man for offences of rape, aggravated sexual assault and penetrative sexual assault as well as intimidation of the victim under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The convict was sentenced to three life terms for the offences under the POCSO Act and the court directed that he shall remain imprisoned for the rest of his natural life, the SPP said.

The court also imposed a fine of ₹ 6.6 lakh on him.

The victim was raped by her father from March 2021 to October 2021. When she complained of stomach pain, in January 2022 it was discovered that she was pregnant.

Getting the information, the police arrested the father. The pregnancy of the minor girl was aborted and the DNA sample of the foetus proved that her father was raping her. The mother of the victim also testified against the man.
