Khariar MLA Adhiraj Panigrahi Quits Congress; Joins BJD

Bhubaneswar: The Congress MLA of Khariar, Adhiraj Mohan Panigrahi resigned from the party ahead of the General Elections 2024. According to reports, he joined the BJD on Wednesday.

Panigrahi resigned from all Congress party posts as well as from the party’s primary membership. He sent his resignation letter to the Odisha PCC president Sarat Pattanayak.

“I thank you for giving me an opportunity to serve the nation and my State for 25 years with passion and dedication,” Panigrahi wrote in his resignation letter.

He won from the Khariar assembly constituency on a Congress ticket in 2019 defeating the BJD candidate Lambodar Nial.
