KKR Break The Bank To Buy Mitchell Starc For ₹24.75 Cr In Record-Breaking Deal

Dubai: Just hours after Pat Cummins became the most expensive buy in IPL history, the IPL 2024 auction witnessed another historic moment as Mitchell Starc, another fellow Australian fast bowler, shattered the record. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) went all out, breaking the bank with a staggering bid of ₹24.75 crore to secure Starc, whose base price was ₹2 crore.

An intense bidding war unfolded between KKR and Gujarat Titans (GT) as they vied for Starc’s services. The bidding process reached unprecedented heights, showcasing the fierce competition between the franchises.
