Listening “Inner Voice” Gujarat BJP MLA Resigns from Assembly

Vadodara: Gujarat BJP MLA Ketan Inamdar tendered his resignation from the state assembly on Tuesday, saying he listened to his “inner voice” and that nothing is being than self-respect.

But Inamdar said his resignation was not a pressure tactic and that he will work to ensure the victory of BJP candidate from the Vadodara seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

Inamdar, a three-term MLA from Savli seat in Vadodara district submitted his resignation to Gujarat Assembly Speaker, Shankar Chaudhary.

In his resignation letter, Inamdar wrote that he was resigning after listening to his “inner voice”.

In 2020, he announced his resignation as an MLA, but it was not accepted by the speaker.

He first won the 2012 assembly election as an independent candidate. He later joined the BJP and won twice in the 2017 and 2022 polls.
