Low Pressure May Change to Depression over Bay of Bengal, Check Rain Forecast for Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation over West Central and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts may lead to the formation of a low-pressure area over the same region during the next 24 hours, predicted IMD on Monday.

This low pressure is likely to intensify into a Depression over the same region around July 26. Then it is likely to move slowly west-north-westwards across north Andhra Pradesh and South Odisha coasts.

If formed it will be the first depression in the current monsoon season, as per Bhubaneswar Regional Centre of the IMD.
