Maa Tujhe Salaam 2024: Guv Raghubar Das Lauds Odisha Bhaskar’s Continued Commitment to Honour and Support Martyrs

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Raghubar Das praised the continued efforts of the Odisha Bhaskar family to honour and support families of martyrs. Governor Das, while speaking at the annual ‘Maa Tujhe Salam’ celebration by the Odisha Bhaskar opined that such effort boosts the morale of our forces who dedicate their lives for the security of the nation and its citizens.

Governor Das was the chief guest at the ‘Maa Tujhe Salam’ celebration this year held at the Chanakya Auditorium of the Swosti Premium Hotel to mark the Independence Day. The venue was jampacked with an audience of over a thousand, who had gathered up to show their respect for the patriotic fervor of martyrs.

The IG of BSF Charudhawaj Agarwal, the Commanding Officer, 9 Airmen Selection Centre, Indian Air Force, Wing Commander Rajalaxmi Prithviraj, Col Rohit Kumar Singh, Comamnding Officer, 120 INF Battalion, Bhubaneswar, Col Sagar K Mohanty, Director NCC, Odisha, DIG of Indian Coast Guard SR Das, DIG CRPF BB Sethi were the other guests present.

Family members of the five martyrs from Odisha were honoured during the occasion. These martyrs were Prakash Chandra Siala, Pratap Ranjan Parida, Saroj Kumar Das, Sameer Kumar Jal, Bhagiratha Mohanty. The poignant stories of these martyrs shown on screen brought tears to the eyes of the audience.

During their addresses, the uniformed guests called upon the general public to work for the nation in different fields with similar patriotic fervor like that of the defense personnel. Wing Commander Rajalaxmi Prithviraj’s personal story of struggle drew much applause and appreciation.

Before entering the venue, the governor, other guests, the MD of Odisha Bhaskar Madhu Mohanty and its CEO Kaoustuva Das presented writhes to Amar Jawan memorial.

At the beginning of the program, the founder of Odisha Bhaskar Digital, Tilakraj Mohanty elaborated organizations moto and visions to uplift the patriotism among the young generation. CEO and editor of Odisha Bhaskar, Koustuva Das provided brief description of the guests.

The chief editor of Odisha Bhaskar, Pradosh Patnaik gave the vote of thanks.

The CRPF Brass band played the National Anthem at the beginning and end of the function.

It was followed by a cultural program laced with patriotism. Princess Dance Group led by T Krishna Mohan Reddy, and Saswat Joshi’s team performed dance recitals on patriotic fervor. Singers Sasanka Sekhar and Shreejata Upadhyay also performed during the show.
