Maharana Pratap’s Descendant Joins BJP in Rajasthan

Jaipur: Vishvaraj Singh Mewar, a descendant of legendary Rajput king Maharana Pratap Singh, along with Bhawani Singh Kalwi, the son of Karni Sena founder Lokendra Singh Kalvi, joined the BJP on Tuesday ahead of the Rajasthan assembly polls.

Mewar’s father Mahendra Singh Mewar was elected to Lok Sabha on a BJP ticket from Chittorgarh in 1989.

The saffron party aims to enhance its support base in the Rajput community in Rajasthan through the inclusion of both these leaders.

After joining BJP, Mewar called upon people to support the capable and foresighted leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Meghwal said, people of Rajasthan will vote out the Congress to bring back the BJP to power.
