Malkangiri Airport Inaugurated by CM Naveen Patnaik

Bhubaneswar: The newly constructed Malkangiri Airport was inaugurated by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday. It is the seventh airport in Odisha.

The runway of the Malkangiri airport is 1620 meters long and 30 meters wide. It was constructed at an expenditure of Rs 70 crore on 233 acres of land.

Ahead of the inauguration, the Chief Minister wrote on X, “Air connectivity to Malkangiri will usher in a new era of development, open up avenues of business & tourism, and further transform the lives of people in the region.”

Initially, nine-seater aircraft will operate from the Malkangiri airport. Later services of larger aircrafts will be added up.
