Odisha CM Inaugurates 67 Health Facilities in 15 Districts Under Mo Hospital Scheme

Bhubaneswar: As part of the second phase of the ‘Ama Hospital’ scheme, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday inaugurated 67 health facilities in 15 districts of Odisha.

Added to it, the CM also inaugurated a dialysis centre at Umerkote sub-divisional hospital (SDH) in Nabarangpur district, a district headquarters hospital (DHH) in Sonepur town in Subarnapur district, and BMRC cardiac care hospital in Jharsuguda. He also laid the foundation of an SDH at Begunia in Khurda.

It is envisioned to include around 1,858 hospitals across the State in the Ama Hospital scheme. Around Rs 3300 crore will be spent during five years between 2023 and 2028 for these medical facilities.

The CM informed that the transformation of 149 hospitals in Odisha is underway.
