Man Beaten to Death for Not Returning Borrowed Bicycle in Balangir Dist

Balangir: A 32-year-old man named Tikelal Bag was allegedly beaten to death at Damakipali village under Larambha police station limits in Odisha’s Balangir district for not returning the bicycle he had taken from another person in his village.

According to police sources, Tikelal did not return back a bicycle he had borrowed from one Kuna Behera of Damakipali village even after several days. To get back the cycle, Kuna and his associate Om confronted Tikelal.

An altercation started between them which escalated into a fight. Kuna and Om thrashed Tikelal and he was seriously injured.

Tikelal was admitted to a hospital, where he died during treatment. Both accused absconded following the incident.

Acting on a complaint lodged by the family of the deceased, the police have registered a case and are trying to nab the duo involved in the murder.
