Woman’s Ex-Lover Kills Her Daughter, Injures Son-in-Law in Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad: An extra-marital affair turned violent as the former lover of a woman murdered her daughter and lethally injured her son-in-law.

The victim, an 18-year-old married woman named Jyoti, had come from her in-laws’ home in Uttar Pradesh’s Babrala town to take care of her mother, Champa Devi who is a cancer patient, in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram area.

Jyoti’s husband Lalitesh had come with her to Champa Devi’s home. On Tuesday, a man identified as Bobby suddenly attacked Champa Devi with a knife.

Jyoti and Lalitesh tried to save Champa Devi. While Jyoti died in the clash with Bobby, Lalitesh sustained serious injuries. Jyoti and Lalitesh had married six months ago.

According to the police, Bobby was released from the Gautam Buddha Nagar jail a fortnight back. It is alleged that he was having an affair with Champa Devi. But in recent times Champa Devi had shifted her romance to a man named Ajay during Bobby’s absence.

Champa Devi is twice married. Her first husband has died. Her second husband is disabled and lives in Bihar.
