Man Beats Drunk Son to Death in Nabarangpur District

Nabarangpur: A man allegedly beat his inebriated son to death at Bangiyakhanda village under the Umerkote police station of Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Wednesday night.

The deceased was identified as Sameer Ray (25). He was thrashed to death by his father Bipul Ray.

According to sources, Sameer used to consume regularly and was creating a nuisance at home. On Wednesday night, he had again reached home in an inebriated state and started abusing his father.

In anger, his father thrashed him with a spade and the son died on the spot. Later the father surrendered before the police at the Umerkote police station.
