Man Hacks Infant Son to Death in Rourkela, Injures Wife & Neighbours

Rourkela: Police have arrested one Budheswar Singh for allegedly hacking his infant son to death and attacking his wife along with two other neighbours in Rourkela in Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Thursday.

The accused was living along with his family at the Lunagadha slum of Garjan panchayat within Brahmani Tarang police station limits.

According to reports, Budheswar hacked his one-and-a-half-year-old son to death with an axe. He also attacked his wife Pramila and two neighbours, Laki Kumbhar and Ghasi Kisan, when they intervened. It is suspected that the accused resorted to this violent act because of some family dispute.

The three injured were admitted to Rourkela government hospital.
