Bhubaneswar: The accused who threatened to kill BJP national vice president and former MP Baijayant Panda was arrested by a special team of Delhi police from Bengaluru.
Through a phone call, the accused threatened to kill Panda. Following a complaint lodged by his office, Delhi police tracked down the accused in Bengaluru.
The arrested accused was brought to Delhi for interrogation. The accused confessed that due to mental depression, he had made that threatening call and he had no malevolent intentions.
The accused also apologized for his mistake and promised not to repeat such an act in the future.
Meanwhile, Panda’s office requested the Delhi Police to release the accused without slapping any charges against him.
