Odisha Chief Secy Appointed as Working Chairman of Jagannath Temple Managing Committee

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has appointed Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja as the Working Chairman of the Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee. A notification from the Law Department confirmed this development on Tuesday.

A 1990-batch IAS officer, Ahuja will take on this role in addition to his current duties. He was named Chief Secretary following the retirement of Pradeep Kumar Jena on June 30. Ahuja also serves as the Secretary of the General Administration Department.

Puri Gajapati Dibyasingha Deba remains the Chairman of the committee. The Shree Jagannath Temple Managing Committee includes the temple’s Chief Administrator, Puri Collector, SP, ASI Superintending Archeologist as ex-officio members, and 12 other members, tasked with overseeing the temple’s administration and governance.
