Millionaire JE Arrested by Vigilance in Disproportionate Assets Case

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday arrested junior engineer Prasanna Kumar Pani on charges of amassing assrts disproportionate to his known income.

Pani was posted as JE (Technical Consultant), Samagra Sikhya Abhiyan, office of BEO, Pallahara, Angul.

During raids conducted at five places on Wednesday, the Vigilance sleuths unearthed disproportionate assets worth crores of rupees linked to Prasanna Kumar Pani and his family members.

According to Odisha Vigilance, five buildings, including five buildings (three multi-storeyed) and one flat in Bhubaneswar, 26 plots, deposits of over Rs 64.18 lakh, cash to the tune of Rs 3.33 lakh, along with other assets unearthed during searches on properties linked to Pani and his family members.

Pani will be produced before the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, on Thursday.
