Vigilance Raids at 10 Locations of Boudh RTO to Unearth Disproportionate Assets

Bhubaneswar: Officials of the Odisha Vigilance Department on Thursday conducted simultaneous raids at premises linked to the Regional Transport Officer (RTO) of Boudh district, Basanta Kumar Mohapatra over allegations of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

As per reports, simultaneous raids were conducted at 10 places linked to Mohapatra on Thursday morning.

Two Additional SPs, six DSPs, six Inspectors and other staff of the state vigilance department are involved in these raids on the strength of search warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

As per a Vigilance statement, the raids are currently underway at the following places.

1) Room No. 307 of 3rd floor at Utkal Signature, Pahala, Bhubaneswar.

2) Commercial shopping complex no. 4 & 5 at Utkal Kanika Galleria, Gautam Nagar, Bhubaneswar.

3) Flat no. 2504, Block-4, Iconic tower, Z-1 estate, Kalarahanga, Bhubaneswar.

4) 3BHK flat No. B/83, 8th floor, Utkal Royal Residency, Kalpana Square, Bhubaneswar.

5) Flat no A-4/1, West End Apartment, Sailashree Vihar, Bhubaneswar.

6) Flat no. 206, 2nd floor, Block Saraswati, Haripriya Enclave, Rangamatia, Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar.

7) office chamber of Mohapatra at RTO office, Boudh.

8) Rented residential house of Mohapatra located at Jagannath Vihar, Rajanpalli, Boudh.

9) Paternal house of Mohapatra located at Bhanjanagar.

10) House of his relative at Kamapali, Berhampur.
