Minor Girl Attempts Suicide After Gang Rape by Lover & 2 Others in Balasore

Balasore: A minor girl tried to end her life by consuming poison after allegedly being gang-raped by three youths including her lover in the Balasore district.

According to police sources, this incident occurred at a hotel in Chandipur on Friday evening.

The victim was admitted to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital in serious condition.

The victim from Balasore Sadar block had checked in at a hotel on Chandipur Sea Beach on Friday afternoon. It is alleged that the girl’s lover and two of his friends allegedly gang raped her in the hotel room.

Shocked by this event, the girl allegedly consumed poison after returning back to her home.

The victim’s family registered a complaint at Balasore Sadar Police Station regarding the happening.

Police managed to nab all three accused youths as well as the hotel manager for interrogation.
