Mobile Phones Banned in Kedarnath Temple After YouTuber’s Viral Video of Marriage Proposal

New Delhi: Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC), banned the use of mobile phones on Kedarnath temple premises. The temple committee took this decision following the furore caused by YouTuber Vishakha Fulsnunge’s video of her proposing to her boyfriend just outside the Kedarnath temple.

Now BKTC has put up signboards at Kedarnath that read, ‘Do not enter the temple premises with mobile phones; any kind of photography and videography is strictly prohibited inside the temple and you are under the surveillance of CCTV cameras’.

The pilgrims have also been advised to dress modestly. Authorities have decided to take legal action against pilgrims not following the orders.

But no such ban order has been imposed at Badrinath temple.
