New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has once again summoned Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with a money laundering case related to the excise policy. This marks the 8th time he has been called for questioning by the agency. Kejriwal has been asked to appear at the agency’s headquarters on March 4th.
Previously, on Monday, Kejriwal skipped the 7th summons, stating that he would only appear before the agency if mandated by a court order. Subsequently, a city court, responding to the Enforcement Directorate’s concerns over Kejriwal’s non-compliance, has directed him to appear on March 16th.
In response to objections raised regarding the issuance of another summons, the Enforcement Directorate has defended its action, asserting that the matter is not affected by the ongoing legal proceedings.
