Dengue Outbreak in Odisha: 2,759 Cases Reported; Sundargarh, Khurda Worst-Hit

Bhubaneswar: Dengue cases are on the rise across Odisha, with 2,759 people reported infected so far, according to Dr Nilakantha Mishra, Director of Public Health. Sundargarh tops the list with 865 cases, followed by Khurda with 837 cases.

“Out of 70,000 tests conducted, 2,759 samples tested positive for dengue. Sundargarh reported the highest number of cases at 865, while Khurda followed closely with 837 cases,” Dr Mishra stated on Tuesday.

Bhubaneswar alone has over 500 dengue patients, and the number is expected to rise as Odisha braces for more rainfall.
