Odisha’s Pride: RBI Gov Shaktikant Das Rated Best Central Bank Manager by US Mag

Bhubaneswar: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das was rated ‘A+’ in the Global Finance’s Central Banker Report Cards 2023.

This former IAS officer hailing from Odisha was at the top of the list of three central bank governors by the Global Finance magazine published in the United States.

The Central Banker Report Cards have been published annually by Global Finance since 1994. It grades the central bank governors of 101 key countries on a scale from A to F assessing their performance in inflation control, economic growth goals, currency stability and interest rate management.

Das along with the central bank governors of Switzerland and Vietnam was rated ‘A+’ by the magazine.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, meanwhile, congratulated Das for being rated A+ by Global Finance magazine.

“Congratulations to RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das. This is a proud moment for India, reflecting our financial leadership on the global stage. His dedication and vision continue to strengthen our nation’s growth trajectory,” said the Prime Minister in a post on X.
