PCB Accepts Inzamam-ul-Haq’s Resignation, Successor to be Declared Soon

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) recently accepted the resignation of Inzamam-ul-Haq from the post of the chairperson of both the national and junior men’s selection committees. The PCB declared that the name of the new chairman will be released soon.

Inzamam decided to step down from the post of chief selector on October 30 to enable the PCB to conduct an inquiry into the allegations of conflict of interest.

The PCB has established a five-member team to investigate the allegations against Inzamam.

Inzamam faces the allegation of a conflict of interest involving him and senior national team players. Inzamam picked the Babar Azam-led 15-member squad for the Cricket World Cup 2023 in India.

According to reports in the Pakistan media, Inzamam is a shareholder in “Yazo International Limited,” a company owned by cricketers’ agent Talha Rehmani, who represents some of the senior team’s players, including Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
