PM Modi Thanks UAE President For BAPS Temple

Abu Dhabi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed gratitude towards UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the BAPS Hindu Temple that will be inaugurated tomorrow and said that it reflects his love and respect for India.

During their meeting in Abu Dhabi, the leaders exchanged Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). PM Modi also thanked President Al Nahyan for accepting the invitation to be the Chief Guest at the Vibrant Gujarat Summit.

He emphasized the warmth of their relationship, stating, “Whenever I come to UAE, I have always felt as if I have come to my own home, to meet with the members of my own family.”

PM Modi praised the construction of the BAPS temple as a testament to President Al Nahyan’s love for India and vision for UAE’s future, acknowledging his prompt decision and support.

He highlighted the rarity of their frequent meetings and visits, underscoring the depth of India-UAE relations. PM Modi also expressed gratitude for President Al Nahyan’s support towards initiatives like the India-Middle East-Economic-Corridor (IMEC), emphasizing its potential for long-term economic progress and connectivity.

Furthermore, PM Modi appreciated the overwhelming response to the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event, organized by the Indian community in Abu Dhabi, with over 65,000 registrations. He thanked President Al Nahyan for his support, expressing anticipation for a productive visit to strengthen the friendship between India and the UAE. PM Modi is scheduled to address the Indian community at the Zayed Sports City Stadium before proceeding to Doha on February 14th.
