Odisha CM to Inaugurate New SUM Hospital Campus in Ganjam Tomorrow

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik is set to inaugurate the latest addition to the healthcare landscape in Odisha: the new campus of the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS) and SUM Hospital, part of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA). Located in Sitalapalli, Ganjam district, the campus is strategically positioned to address the rising demand for high-quality healthcare services in southern Odisha.

As per SOA’s announcement, the Sitalapalli campus will feature state-of-the-art medical facilities equipped with cutting-edge technology. Patients can expect round-the-clock emergency services at an affordable rate. Initially housing 200 beds, the hospital’s capacity will later expand to accommodate up to 500 beds.

This inauguration follows the recent opening of SUM Hospital’s second campus in Phulnakhara, situated on NH-16 between Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, earlier in January. The establishment of the Sitalapalli campus underscores SOA’s commitment to providing comprehensive healthcare coverage across Odisha.

With this expansion, SOA aims to synergize its hospital network, ensuring seamless healthcare delivery and extending quality medical services to the populace.
