Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik Launches 32 Industrial Projects Worth ₹6,993 Crore

Bhubaneswar: In a significant boost to Odisha’s industrial landscape, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated nine industrial projects and laid the foundation for 23 more during a virtual ceremony today. These projects, boasting a combined investment of Rs 6992.94 Crore and promising employment opportunities for 24,508 individuals, are strategically distributed across 14 districts of the state including Bolangir, Boudh, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Jharsuguda, Keonjhar, Khurda, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, and Sundergarh.

Addressing the event, Chief Minister Patnaik highlighted the diversification of Odisha’s industrial portfolio with a focus on emerging sectors such as green energy equipment manufacturing, textiles, and tourism. He attributed the state’s success in attracting investments to its continuous improvement in the Ease of Doing Business rankings, a conducive business environment, top-notch industrial infrastructure, and robust skill development initiatives.

Expressing satisfaction over the geographical distribution of the 32 projects, spanning 14 districts, the Chief Minister underscored the inclusive nature of industrialization in Odisha.

The virtual ceremony witnessed the presence of key dignitaries including the Minister of Industries, MSME & Energy, senior government officials, and representatives from the industrial sector.
