Prof Sabita Pradhan Appointed as 1st VC of Odia University

Bhubaneswar: Prof. Sabita Pradhan was appointed as the first Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Odia University, Satyabadi, Puri by the Odisha Governor and Chancellor Prof. Ganeshi Lal on Friday.

She is currently a Professor of Odia at Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan.

She will be in the post of the VC of the university for two years with effect from the date she assumes office as such or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

“In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 8(1) of the Odia University Act, 2017, the Chancellor, Odia University, Satyabadi has been pleased to appoint Prof. Sabita Pradhan, Professor of Odia, Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan as first Vice-Chancellor of Odia University, Satyabadi, Puri for a period of two years with effect from the date she assumes office as such or until further orders, whichever is earlier,” a notification issued by the office of the chancellor said.
