Provide Lift to Gang Rape Girl, Three Nabbed in Sambalpur Dist

Sambalpur: Three persons allegedly involved in the gang rape of a girl in the Kuchinda area of  Sambalpur district, were detained by police.

They were rounded up as per a written complaint filed by the victim at Govindpur police station.

As per the FIR lodged by the 21-year-old victim, the assailants targeted her while had gone to the Tangaramunda SBI branch on Wednesday. While she was waiting to return home from the bank, two youths offered her a lift on their bike and later allegedly gang-raped her in different locations on Wednesday night. Later, another youth allegedly raped her in a car.

Police have seized the car used by the accused. Further investigation is on.
