Pune Moneylender Rapes Woman as Her Husband Didn’t Repay Loan

Pune: A 47-year-old moneylender in Maharashtra’s Pune city allegedly raped a woman in the presence of her husband, when he didn’t get back a loan. The accused was arrested on Wednesday.

This rape occurred in February this year. According to police sources, the victim’s husband had failed to repay the money he had borrowed from the arrested moneylender.

As per the FIR, the accused threatened the woman’s husband with a knife and then raped her front of him.

The accused recorded his heinous act on his mobile phone and later posted the video clip on a social media platform.

The arrested accused was booked under relevant provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Information Technology Act. Further investigation is on.
