Putin Will Not Address G20 Summit Virtually Through Video Conference

New Delhi: Russian President Vladimir Putin, who preferred to skip the G20 Summit in India, will not be making a virtual address at the summit.

The Russian authorities have clarified that all business at the G20 summit will be handled by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Lavrov represented Russia at August’s BRICS meeting in Johannesburg, following a controversy over whether South Africa would be forced to arrest Putin under an International Criminal Court warrant.

But Putin had made a virtual address to the BRICS summit. In his virtual address, he made a scathing attack on the West.
