Putin Becomes Russian President Again, Warns West of 3rd World War

In the Russia’s presidential election on Sunday, President Vladimir Putin won a record post-Soviet landslide.

Following his win, he said his victory showed Moscow had been right to stand up to the West and send its troops into Ukraine, reported Reuters.

He warned the West on Monday that a direct conflict between Russia and the U.S.-led NATO military alliance would mean that the planet was one step away from World War Three. But he added that hardly anyone wanted such a scenario.

Because of the Ukraine war Russia’s relations with the West is at all time low since the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. Putin has often warned of nuclear war but says he has never felt the need to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
