This achievement came in his 241st innings in the ODI format, cementing his status as one of the most prolific run-scorers in the game.

At the age of 36, Rohit Sharma now stands as the sixth Indian batsman to achieve this remarkable milestone. Notably, he is also the second-fastest overall to reach this milestone, with only Virat Kohli surpassing him in terms of innings played. Kohli reached 10,000 runs in just 205 innings.

Furthermore, Rohit Sharma joins an elite club of Indian openers who have achieved this feat, following in the footsteps of cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly. His consistency in ODI cricket is evident through his impressive record, boasting 30 centuries and 50 half-centuries, all while maintaining an impressive batting average of nearly 49.

Rohit Sharma’s journey in ODI cricket began in 2007 when he made his debut against Ireland in Belfast. Since then, he has been a stalwart of the Indian cricket team and has consistently delivered outstanding performances.
