Rs 1 Cr Worth Brown Sugar Seized in Balasore, 4 Arrested

Balasore: Four brown sugar peddlers were arrested by Odisha STF in Balasore district with the seizure of Rs 1 crore worth of narcotics from them.

This anti-narcotics joint operation was conducted by Bhubaneswar STF and Balasore district police near Balasore Railway Station Road on Sunday evening.

The arrested drug peddlers were Sk Faiyaz, Sk Shamshed, Sk Murad, and Sandeep Nayak of Balasore district.

Contraband brown sugar weighing 1.100 kg and other incriminating materials were seized from their possession.

The Special Task Force of Odisha Police has destroyed more than 60 kg of seized brown sugar and 136 quintals of ganja in the past one year.
