Russian Deputy Defence Minister Arrested on Bribery Charges

Russia’s Deputy Defence Minister Timur Ivanov was arrested by a Russian court on Wednesday on Bribery charges. He was detained on Tuesday and was formally arrested on Wednesday. The court remanded Ivanov in custody for two months.

The court said that according to the charges Ivanov had put himself in a position to benefit from hiring contractors for the defence ministry where he managed construction activities.
