“Sextortionist” Archana Nag Gets Bail from Orissa High Court

Cuttack: Archana Nag, the alleged kingpin of a “sextortion” and blackmail racket was granted bail on Monday by the Orissa High Court in connection with a honeytrap case registered against her by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

It is the third case in which she has acquired bail. As there were three cases against her, it is likely that she will get out of jail soon.

The ED was investigating a high-profile honeytrap and extortion case involving Archana, her husband Jagabandhu Chand, and their business associates Khageswar Patra and Shradhanjali Beher following a case filed against her by Odia filmmaker Akshay Parija.

Archana is accused of blackmailing and extorting money from influential persons by recording videos of intimate moments between her and them.

Filmmaker Parija alleged that Archana had tried to extort Rs 3 crore from him by threatening to make his objectionable videos and photographs with a woman public.
