Cop Injured In Terrorist Attack In Srinagar, Hospitalised; Area Cordoned Off

Srinagar: In a shocking incident, terrorists opened fire on security forces in Srinagar, injuring a police officer identified as Mohammad Hafiz Chad. The incident occurred in Bemina’s Hamdaniya colony.

The wounded officer, son of Gh Hassan Chad from Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.

Responding swiftly to the attack, authorities cordoned off the area.

The Kashmir Zone Police confirmed the incident in a statement: “Terrorists targeted and injured Mohammad Hafiz Chad, a police personnel residing in Bemina’s Hamdaniya colony. The injured officer, son of Gh Hassan Chad from Karnah, has been promptly shifted to a medical facility for treatment. As investigations continue, the area remains under tight security. Further updates will be communicated as they become available.”

It is important to note that Mohammad Hafiz Chad hails from Karnah but currently resides in Bemina, as confirmed by the police.
