Stones Pelted at Rahul Gandhi’s Car in West Bengal During Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra

Malda: A car carrying Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was pelted with stones in Malda district on Wednesday during his ongoing ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’. While Gandhi emerged unharmed, the rear window of the vehicle was shattered in the attack.

State Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury condemned the incident, calling it “unacceptable.” He confirmed that the stone pelting occurred in Harishchandrapur, Malda, as the yatra re-entered West Bengal from Bihar.

Television footage captured Gandhi alighting from the vehicle after reaching a designated stop and inspecting the damaged window. While the identity and motive of the attackers remain unclear, the incident has sparked outrage among Congress supporters and raised concerns about security during the yatra.

Chowdhury demanded a thorough investigation into the attack and urged authorities to ensure Gandhi’s safety throughout the march.
