Three Killed in Bike, Truck Accident in Jajpur District

Jajpur: Three persons died when the bike on which they were travelling hit a moving truck from behind near the main gate of Jindal Plant under Kalinganagar police station limits in Jajpur district on Saturday.

According to eyewitnesses, the driver of the speeding bike rammed the two-wheeler to the rear of the truck.  All three deceased were local residents. Two of them died on the spot while the third succumbed while undergoing treatment at Kalinganagar Hospital.

Police, meanwhile, seized the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. The identity of the deceased is being ascertained.

Vehicular movement was disrupted on the road for some time following the accident.
