Three Travel from Kuwait to Mumbai in Boat, Arrested for Illegal Entry Into India

Mumbai: Three persons who managed to reach the Mumbai coast undetected by a boat from Kuwait were arrested by the Mumbai police on Wednesday for entering India illegally.

The boat with the trio reached the Gateway of India on Tuesday. But nothing suspicious was found in the boat.

Initial investigation has hinted that the arrested trio had reached Kuwait two years back in search of employment. They allegedly escaped from Kuwait in the boat when they were allegedly ill-treated by their agent who took them to Kuwait. Mumbai police are continuing further investigation into the case. But the arrival of the boat at the Gateway of India undetected raised concerns over security lapses.
