Vice-President of Odisha JMM Resigns from Party

Bhubaneswar: Prahallad Purty, the vice-president of the Odisha unit of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) resigned from the primary membership of the party.

As per his letter to the JMM central committee chairman Shibu Soren, he resigned due to “differences with the party’s state leadership”.

In his letter, Purty alleged that JMM’s Odisha state committee president Anjani Soren, who is the daughter of Shibu Soren, had asked him to quit the party since he was questioning inaction of the party in raising issues related to Odisha.

Purty is the former MLA of Bahalda. He alleged that he was sidelined in the Odisha unit of the JMM.
